Yoga Program Descriptions
Energizing Morning Flow – Start the day with invigorating, flow yoga with focus on improving concentration and alertness. This program stimulates circulation and works on core strength to get you ready for whatever the day might bring. This is a challenging class, appropriate for those with some prior yoga experience.
Gentle Rise and Shine – Some people need to ease into their morning. This class is designed to gently wake up the body and the mind, preparing both for the work day ahead. Appropriate for all levels.
Meditation/Guided Rest – Join us for a half hour of bliss and self care, designed to calm down a busy mind and create fresh energy and clarity for the second half of the work day. Different forms of meditation will be explored including traditional seated meditation, supine meditation, guided meditation and breathing exercises. Learn some “constructive rest” poses, which is a practical way for releasing excess tension from the body and inducing a peaceful state. DoTerra essential oils will be used to enhance relaxation.
Midday Yoga Break – This class can be a great break in your day. Help reduce stress and prevent injuries stemming from repetitive motion and static sitting postures. Open to all levels of students, this class offers stillness, subtle flow and strength. Great for shifting any stagnant energy and providing a more calm and productive day. DoTerra essential oils will be used to enhance relaxation.
Rejuvenating Vinyasa – Before you head home, or out, get your energy moving and blood pumping with this fun flow class. This class is appropriate for intermediate practitioners and beginners who are familiar with the basic postures taught in the Vinyasa Flow style. Deeper versions of postures will be offered for those ready
for them. Each practitioner can work at their own level. The emphasis is on the connection of breath and movement. The sequences will build strength and flexibility, while increasing concentration and balance.
Relax & Recharge: Restorative – Wipe away the stress of the day with our Restorative yoga program. Using props, peaceful music, and deeply held postures, help the body to let go of stress on all levels so you can enjoy your night and sleep deeply. This class is a complete rejuvenating practice comprised of seated postures and supported inversions using our Great Yoga Wall which are held for longer periods of time to allow for deep relaxation in the postures. Designed for all levels and includes breath work, guided meditations, and a long savasana (final rest!)
Intro to Wall Yoga – This is appropriate for students who are new to using the Great Yoga Wall.To start we will warm the body by introducing a sun salutation flow and then we will go over standing and seated postures using the Yoga Wall to assist with proper alignment. This class will include wall use and center of the room postures.
Flex Pass – This drop-in group of classes is a perfect fit for a busy traveler who can’t commit to the same schedule every week or for some one who wants to try different class types before settling for one. For a one monthly fee, you can select any of the five class options offered and take up to three per week!
Special Events – An exciting new way to engage all your senses in our beautiful wellness center! For example, evening programs that start with a restorative yoga class and continue with a viewing of our current gallery space featuring a local art exhibit and a meeting with the artist. Art exhibited will be available for purchase.
