Body Areas Treated
Our Treatment Approach:
We believe that our bodies have potential for self-healing. All treatments provided are based on stimulating the body’s immune system to restore structural integrity to the injured region. We try to avoid the use of steroids due to their potentially destructive nature and poor potential for healing the injured site.
- Prolotherapy is used for treatment of chronic joint, ligament and tendon injuries. A high concentration dextrose (sugar) solution is injected into these structures to stimulate repair.
- PRP (platelet rich plasma) is a component of the blood obtained from the patient and spun down in a special centrifuge to isolate and concentrate it from the rest of the blood. This product provides a stronger boost for regeneration of injured tissues and can be used in place of prolotherapy if more healing stimulus is needed.
- TENEX tenotomy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows removal of scar and calcium build up in injured tendons through a small incision in the skin.
All treatments are preceded by a nutritional consultation to ensure that the body is nutritionally optimized to respond to proposed procedures.
